11month old, Easter, and my birthday>looking foward
Hard to beleive Dillon is now an eleven month old and I am now twentyfour. This past weeekend was easter and also my birthday. We visited the mall and went to the beach. Easter for many means easter egg hunts and baskets of goodies. I often wonder if God rolls his eyes or scratches his head when he looks at this. It seems innocent enough but in many ways its just another way to take the focus off of the real meaning while also feeding the commercial america by purchasing these things. We stayed home Sunday because to be honest i get tired of people who only come on holidays. I guess its great that they are at church because its an oppurtunity for the beleiver to witness. We also did not do an Easter basket for Dillon instead we briefly talked about the fact that Jesus was sent by his father God to die on a cross for what we did wrong and when his followers went to the tomb he was not there instead he was with his father in heaven. Not the best explanation but consider my audience is a one year old.

Took a mini break from blogging while we moved, Kevin has made a total job change from law enforcement to aircraft mechanic. We were able to find a home to rent for a year until we decided where we would like to live in the area. Moving was hectic and I am still trying to unpack but making progress day by day.
Dillon is close to walking and taking his first steps, he had his gastroentrologist appt three weeks age and the dr said the next step would be to scope him while under anesthetia which all agree is a last resort. Its looking as if all his problems are a mix of acid reflux and allergies.
*Nine month appt was yesterday and D is wieghing in at 18lbs and 7oz and 28inches long. His new dr presribed allegra for his allergies

The art of biscuitmaking

Yesterday I woke up wanting biscuits so I decided to make some, my biscuits always taste good but usually are not that round well I have to share a picture because they were almost perfect!!
Here is my recipe, but not matter how many times you make em they always turn out different so do not hold me to this recipe ;)
2cups self rising flour
3 to 4 tbsp of crisco shortening
1 cup milk
In a mixing bowl combone flour and cut in crisco until it is mixed well then add milk if it looks to wet sprinkle in a little more flour. Knead onto floured surface and knead then roll with rolling pin use a biscuit cutter to cut and then place biscuits on greased pan bake at 425 until they start brown on top.n

My little tag along

Dillon went from crawling one day to pulling up on everything, he absolutely loves crawling around naked in his crib after baths and gets so proud when he pulls himself up on the rail of the crib. He starts making funny noises as if to gloat of his new achievement. It so neat to watch his personality shine through more and more each day. Hard to beleive eight months is creeping up so quickly. We recieved good news and will likely be busy in the coming weeks but I will try to keep up with the blog.

How can you help Chase
I sent out request to alot of you on facebook to help support a cause for ALD which is a life threatening illness. My cousin Michelle shared this link which is near and dear to her heart because her bother suffers from this heartwrenching disease. Chases brother passed away a few years ago in a tragic wreck so this family has gone through many trials. I am hoping to raise awareness and support for Chase and other familes who have come face to face with this illness.
You can join and support his cause on facebook, go to facebook and then go to causes search for Chases' ALD Adrenoleukodystrophy story. I am sure any support thoughts, prayers, and financing will be appreciated.
Here is the link: Chase' story
