I was able to successfully make Dillon some baby food this week, my neighbor gave me some sweet potatoes and peaches so I actually combined the two and mashed them with my blender and froze it in ice cube trays which makes the perfect size serving for the wee ones. Obviously D is not ready for baby food yet but the way time flies it won't be long. It will be in the freezer waiting on him to get ready. I plan on make more but this kicks us off for now. More than likely I will be making on large or small zip lock bag of each veggie and fruit that way I can make sure he likes each one and to rule out any allergies before I go on a baby food making frenzy.

Kevin has had several work opportunities offered this week, the police department has finally officially offered him the job as an officer which he agreed to take but needs to discuss the details with them such date of start and such. In this time Delta has called and offered him a job as well which he also agreed to take but might turn down. When he is home we will discuss all the ins and outs of everything. All in all we know Delta=more money but Police department=more stability.

Creeping up on 4 months old

Dillon is almost four months, only 8 days to go and time is flying by. It seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital and he was such a tiny baby. I have been busy and usually only have one free hand which I am sure all you moms can relate to.

An eye update, well I went to my appt and the opthamologist was unable to figure out what was wrong but I did go ahead and get new glasses. He also recommended that I see an opthamologist neurologist in Atlanta so in the days following I was able to set up an appt for August 2nd. Kevin made plans to take off work and go with me to the appt and I made arrangement for our sweet neighbors to watch Dillon while we were at the appt. The neuro did several vision tests and then a mri first without the dye injection and then with the dye. That was interesting I have never had an mri before so that was a 1st for me. All in all the diagnoses was that during the end of my pregnancy when the symptoms started my optic nerve became inflammed. No major problems such as brain tumors so that is a huge praise! It is still possible that the optic nerve became inflammed due to multiple sclerosis but at the current time I am doing better although the eye problem still exist so just taking it one step at a time.

Dillon is getting big, he was 12lbs 6oz as of two weeks ago, he loves to roll over now mostly from back to belly. He is trying to scoot and figure out how to crawl but has a while to go before he will actually crawl. I took him to the dr two weeks ago because he was struggling with constipation and we thought he had hemmerhoids but it seems it was just a tear of some of the sensitive tissue down there. Dr advised us to use some a&d cream and give him pear juice, however, we found that white grape juice works best for him. Screaming and loud sqeaky noises are his favorite to make, he will sit in his bouncer and screech and scream just to hear himself talk. His hair gets alot of comments because it is so fuzzy and sticks up all the time its very cute. His four month appt is in 9 days and he will be getting more nasty vaccinations which I am happy he will have the protection of the vaccines but not happy about seeing him cry when they give him the shots. I mentioned to dh about his appt but not sure if he is planning to go with us or not.

In other family news Rachel and Joel are expecting again she is about 9 or 10 weeks now and had her first appt when she was 8 weeks. She will be due at the end of March.

There are some things going on which I don't wish to write about in detail but I am sure God is using these things to teach me something I am just not sure what and its hard to see the good amidst the bad and hard times but I will trust in him and his plans.
